Californian contractor Granite has signed an $88m contract with the California Division of Transportation (Caltrans) to broaden a bit of the Ortega Freeway State Route 74 close to to Lake Elsinore.
Granite will widen the SR-74’s shoulders and roadway, putting in rumble strips within the centre and alongside the perimeters. The growth will improve automobile buffer room, bettering security on the slender, mountainous two-lane freeway. Granite may even resurface the street.
Invoice Moore, Granite’s vice chairman for regional operations, stated: “We’ve been working intently with Caltrans on this freeway for a number of years, and we’re excited to proceed this partnership.
“It aligns with our strategic purpose of increasing our footprint within the Inland Empire of Southern California.”
Building is because of start in April and will probably be accomplished in November 2026.
