British contractor Balfour Beatty has gained a $30m contract to ship a 900ft runway and taxiway extension at Albert J Ellis Airport in Jacksonville, North Carolina.
As normal contractor, Balfour Beatty will set up a medium-intensity method mild system and runway. It should additionally construct an entrance to the airport’s roadway and full realignment work for North Carolina Freeway 111.
The airport is owned by Onslow County, and serves the Jacksonville, Wilmington, New Bern and Japanese North Carolina areas.
