Taiwanese chipmaker Foxconn plans to construct one of many world’s largest meeting crops for US tech firm Nvidia in Guadalajara, Mexico, Reuters reviews.
The plant will bundle Nvidia’s GB200 superchips for Nvidia’s Blackwell next-generation AI platform.
Nvidia says it’ll permit customers to “construct and run real-time generative AI on trillion-parameter massive language fashions at as much as 25x much less value and power consumption than its predecessor”.
Nvidia expects a number of billion {dollars} in income from its Blackwell line within the fourth quarter.
Foxconn chair Younger Liu mentioned demand for Blackwell was “loopy” and that the manufacturing unit could be “very, very monumental”, though he didn’t say what its funding worth could be.
The world’s largest firm of its sort, Foxconn has been benefiting from the AI growth because it assembles servers used to course of AI work.
