A consortium that features Spain’s Acciona and Italy’s RCM Construzioni has been chosen to construct a 880m-long, 22m-wide breakwater on the Port of Ravenna in jap Italy.
The construction shall be sited 8.5km from the Adriatic coast, and can encompass concrete caissons that may shelter a floating industrial terminal.
The €216m undertaking is being financed by the Port Authority of the North-Central Adriatic, via a mortgage from Italian improvement financial institution Cassa Depositi e Prestiti.
