Morocco plans Africa’s biggest desalination plant

As Morocco suffers its worst drought for 40 years, French water specialist Veolia has agreed in precept to construct a desalination plant close to the capital, Rabat.

Procured as a public-private partnership, the plant will be capable of produce 822 million litres of consuming water a day, making it the largest in Africa and the second greatest on the earth.
