Aecom has been awarded a single-award job order with a $90m ceiling by the US Company for Worldwide Growth (USAID) to help the G7’s Partnership for International Infrastructure and Funding (PGI).
The PGI was launched on the G7 Summit in 2022 to advertise infrastructure in growing international locations together with clear vitality, transportation, and digital.
Its present flagship undertaking is the Lobito Hall, a 1,300km railway linking the mining centre of Kolwezi within the Democratic Republic of Congo to the Angolan port of Lobito.
The G7 goals to mobilise $600bn, together with personal capital, by 2027, with the US mobilising $200bn by then.
Aecom stated it’s going to deliver collectively technical specialists to assist initiatives, and advise on technical, authorized, and regulatory points and personal funding.
Over the past three years, the US has mobilised round $60bn for PGI investments by way of federal financing, grants and personal sector investments.
