Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA) has unveiled the design for The Grove, a seafront neighbourhood and marina on Qatar’s Qetaifan Bay.
Developed by JMJ Group Holding and Qetaifan Tasks, The Grove will comprise 293 one- to four-bedroom residential items and a tree-lined waterfront promenade with outlets and eating places.
Its interconnecting podium could have a members’ membership, wellness centre, leisure lounge, sheltered walkways and terraces.
Residential areas have been positioned to spice up views, shading and privateness. Interiors of shared frequent areas have been designed by ZHA.
Modular façades comprise vertical and horizontal scoops which supply shade in an effort to scale back glazing by 50% in a sustainability effort.
Inexperienced methods have been built-in into the design, reminiscent of on-site renewables, reusing pre-cooled extracted air from the buildings will cool the promenade, rainwater harvesting and micro-irrigation programs for regionally acclimatised vegetation.
Gianluca Racana, ZHA director, stated: “The Grove will seamlessly mix dwelling, leisure and leisure areas of the best high quality inside essentially the most built-in, sustainable group.”
